Just finished a club tournament and fishing was tough. no wind, water temperature around 70 degrees made for a slow day for everyone. Spinnerbaits, grubs and crankbaits were all some what effective and spoons worked well for those that found deep fish. Bass fishing can only improve as the water cools and we move into fall. Several big tournaments start soon. The Winter Bass A Thon starts on November 5th out of Henderson. This tournament alternates between Norfork and Bull Shoals. When they fish on Bull the take off will be out of Buck Creek. The Joe Bass Team Trail tournament starts at Buck Creek on November 6th.This tournament gives a boat away to the overall winner.
